Who we are

Woods Engineering was founded by Patrick Woods and Rebecca Murray, specialising in custom engine valves, valve train components and custom engineering.

Patrick began working alongside his father Eddie Woods at The Head Stud Development Company, a leading Australian cylinder head specialist, while studying Mechanical Engineering at Monash University, graduating with Honours in 1998.

Over the decades since, Patrick has designed, modified and manufactured custom engine valves and components across automotive, motorsport, vintage and specialist-engine applications. Extensive work in cylinder head reconditioning and modification has further developed his specialist knowledge and broad understanding of the components and systems that underpin engine performance.

Today, Patrick brings that experience to Woods Engineering, working across custom engine valves, valve train components and general engineering. He works closely with customers to understand the needs of each project and develop the right solution, from design through to manufacture.

Whether starting with an idea, drawing, measurement, sample or existing component, Woods Engineering has the expertise to develop it into a precision-engineered finished component.
