It is a premium, high-quality /performance steel, offering exceptional strength, heat resistance at high temperatures, as well as oxidation resistance and durability.
Valves are made from a single piece of steel, which can offer superior structural integrity.

In most cases, existing valves can be modified within certain parameters. This can improve or alter flow characteristics and allows for changes to better suit the valve and cylinder head combination.

Tufftriding is a heat treatment that enhances the surface hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of metals. It increases durability and fatigue strength, often acting as a superior alternative to hard chrome plating.

We are happy to work with either a sample or a drawing. Usually, a sample is preferred to confirm dimensions. But if you are confident to measure with precision, you are welcome to supply a drawing.

If you are in the Melbourne metropolitan area, you can simply arrange a time and drop them off. Alternatively, samples can be posted /couriered with appropriate contact and instruction details.

A valve template drawing is available to download here. Record measurements on the template, email it back to us and we’ll be in touch.

Not everyone has access to accurate measuring tools, so please send a sample to Woods Engineering to confirm dimensions.

If you are able to remove the bent valve from the cylinder head, please supply Woods Engineering with the bent valve. We will attempt to straighten it to obtain the correct dimensions.
Please do not attempt to straighten the valve unless you are very confident you can.
